Megane scenic 05 siezed brake caliper

Can someone tell me please how to free this siezed caliper. I noticed in the Haynes manual I should turn the piston at the same time I push it back into the bore. How important is this turning action as I have pushes piston straight in with a G clamp in the past!
I noticed someone mentioned in a post I need a special tool to compress the piston - is this correct?
