Unhappy Adaptors for headunit and speaker wires

I have a '96 Laguna 2.2D-RN. I was wondering where I could get, if possible, adaptors for;

a) The steering column radio remote to fit a Sony head unit (currently the remote has a scart type socket which fits into the factory fitted radio but my new head unit has a single round female socket)
b) The speaker wires (the factory fitted wire ends with a single unit whereas my speakers, and all others I have ever seen, need two seperate units with different widths).

I did try to attach photos, as the above probably isn't very well technically worded, but the upload failed every time (even though I reduced kb and dimensions to just below limits).

I am assuming that neither adaptor is available and that I would need to purchase and fit a Sony specific remote control and also DIY the speaker wires but any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I can provide photo's via email if anyone has an inkling of what I am going on about, just contact me via my profile.

Currently in scatz's garage:
2004 Subaru Legacy GT Spec B, a 2013 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Sport S-Max and a 2001 Honda NSR125R
