Re: 05 Grand Scenic Electric handbrake problem - help !
hi, sorry to hear about your problem - i had exactly the same, drivers side rear caliper wasn't engaging. It started when i had a flat battery one icy morning, the parking brake symbol came on when the battery was replaced. When garage took it in they diagnosed rear drivers side caliper inoperable, so they replaced it, but when it was replaced as there was now tension on the handbrake module it made a loud squeal when applying. You may get away with just the caliper, but it may have taken the epb with it too. And i also have a warranty on the car , gold level of cover and it didn't cover the electronic parking brake, however it did cover the caliper. Good luck Kev
