Re: How do i fix this fuel cap?

Hmm well ok,
Im just going by the pics:
Pic 1 looks like the catch that the arrowshaped bit of plastic in pic 2 slots into.
Pic 2 seems to have a piece sticiking out of the flap which has a hole in it, which I presumed the central locking solenoid pin goes into.

Nice detailed pics.. the hole in the bit of plastic sticking out above the word diesel seems to have some wear on it, from the locking pin?

Pic 1 doesnt extend up far enough to show if thats the case.

If the flap isnt shutting enough ,the pin may not be able to slot into the little hole.
The only locking is with the flap so it seems logical its a pin into a hole in the flap.
Course if its not just wear on the catch not allowing the hole to line up with the pin, the solenoid may be gone/worn out ;(

Thats just guesswork.
I can see its a more modern renault with no screw on cap n thas about all.

Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
