Currently I have a Laguna II 1.9dci, and have had countless problems with the suspension, brakes, bushes &
. We're looking at trading it in. Not sure how much to expect as a trade in, but think I may be lucky to get £1k for it (52 plate with 98000 on the clock)?
Anyway, I had been certain before going out that I wouldn't be buying another Renault due to the amount I've forked out on the Laguna (fast approaching £2k in 2 years). Looked at a couple of Astra's and quite liked them.
However, on the last stop of the day, we were shown a 57 plate Megane 1.6
Dynamique 5dr. Other than a few dinks & scratches on the rear wing, I couldn't find any fault with it (despite my best efforts to find one). The car has done 44k which is below the average, and they want £4200 for it. Common sense is telling me to go for it, but I just have this nagging feeling that I could get lumbered with another bottomless money pit.
I know any car can have problems, and I'm never going to buy a car that won't need anything done to it. However, can anyone tell me if there are any known issues with this model, and what to look for? It has the double/panoramic sunroof (not sure about known leak issues?). I would just appreciate if any other users on here can let me know what they think of their cars!
