It would help.

Its a more 'trade-orientated' product similar to t-cut, so it will help give the lacquer a nice lustre.

I would doubt of the basecoat (paint) itself has faded on a 4-5 year old car, its more likely to be oxidation and pollution dulling the clearcoat.

You'll find it online - don't buy a big bottle, as a big bottle lasts me almost a year - so you'd still have it 10 years from now.
