Thanks for the replies. Yeah, sure would like to see some photos of this, to get an idea of what's what.

(This is odd - I posted a reply to VelS. thanking him for the idea and making a few comments - but post seems to have disappeared, or maybe made a mistake posting it? anyhow....)

So the way I figure it is that I should soak the fixing bolts for several days before attempting to remove them (don't want any broken studs in the bodywork) and I guess there are 4 of them, two for each of two straps? Is that all there is that holds it?

So, how does the filler pipe come down into the tank? Does it disconnect easily, or do you have to remove the whole of the down-pipe from the filler-flap along with the whole tank?

Looks very straightforward - compared to cars with odd-shaped fuel tanks buried wherever the designer can wedge them in the under-bodywork!

Photos of that removal process would be really useful, thanks.
