My Luny has now been to Renault for a diag.

Carried out clip test - found TDC sensor fault
After further diagnostic checks found fly wheel
pick up misshaped causing interferance
through TDC sensor - requires new flywheel
pick up.

Apparently being Automatic - they have to drop gear box to do this which is an all day job = loads of money.

The problem is
She idles beautifully but as soon as you touch throttle she misfires and is undriveable.

My question is
Having read on here so many problems with Renault dealers, is there diag likely to be reliable? And would changing the battery interfere with the ECU and the ECU needs resetting?

She was running fine before all this and having spent so much already, I am loath to spend around 600 on something I am not convinced of. I have also been told by another Renault garage that it isn't worth it because once the sensors start going - it can be tial and error and lots of money wasted.

My only hope now is to sell the car as a non runner or sell the parts. What a waste of a great car.

Any advice would be appreciated.
