I can explain one of the fails.

The bulb has to display the relevant colour when lit (so it doesn't get confused with A.N.Other light), therefore, with clear indicator lenses, the bulb must be orange/yellow - but the colour (which is only a plastic film coating) does degrade over time. My van failed on the same item - even though the filament was fully-functional.



This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
