As long as its its not a crease, they can normally get them out. I think the smaller the dent, the better the result.

I watched a guy carry this out on a friend's brand new Peugeot, at Peugeot after they (at Peugeot) managed to put 2 dents on it whilst it when in for something soon after it was bought. This guy was an independent though, but the job was ace.

For larger dents (without creases), I saw something on youtube a while back.... It involved heating the panel (using a normal hair dryer) and then immediately spraying it with air dustor (turned upside down to get cold air) - big bang and the dent of gone (a bit like Cillet Bang!).
