Re: Rear Disc and Pad Change on a Renault Grand Scenic II

Thanks alot Mord,

Excellent. I did the job today... well tried anyway!
I bought a 36mm deep socket from ebay and forgot that I dont have a 3/4inch driver! Woops! Should read things properly!

The caliper guide bolts are 13 and the 'nut' is 15, thank you.

I have a set of impact sockets on a rail like you say but I need a spanner that as 15!

BTW, I read that Chrome Venadium is harder than Chrome Molybdenum (black impact ones) but Chrome Venadium shatters so cannot be used with impact tools. What makes Chrome Molybdenum sockets more durable is not that they are harder but because they are all hex where as allot of Chrome Venadium are bi hex. A hex Chrome Venadium should last longer than a hex Chrome Molybdenum. Honestly, I am not questioning you, I could well be wrong, if you disagree with me I will happily submit to your superior knowledge and experience!
