Thanks for your input so far people.

I managed to get a drive in this morning and things sounded 'cleaner' by the end of it, but that is the same as always. Will see what it is like when I take it out for a run again in the tomorrow ( shock 2 days in row driving) prior to taking everything off again to check the cylinder boots.

I don't mind having to do the work its just the dreaded MOT, if I can pass the brake tests as it is now I am good then I will certainly replace the parts once it is out the way. The handbrake certainly seems to do its jobs as the car will rise good at the back before any real movement, same goes with pulling forwards.

Roll on Sunday, will report back possibly with images of the streets new communal heating system
