I had to replace the front discs,some years back, on a german car I had .
The reason was ,the right front disc parted company with the hub.
These were solid/non ventilated front discs.
There was a fair amount of metal left towards the outer rim edge.
The inner part had become paper thin.
My "maintenance" was all diy.
I had replaced pads twice,once I think with longer lasting pads,(harder).
I didnt really consider the idea the discs could wear out.There was a lip sure but I didnt realise the wear might not be even.
No excuses..just thought Id pass it on.
Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
