It is quite common practice for engines to have a 'running-in' oil to allow the new components to bed-in.

Although, it is normally changed 1000-1500 miles from new, rather than >4500 miles.

Best to give the dealer a call, as there may well be some warranty issue with the ecu 's ability to log the mileage to service. At least that way, you've done your bit, as the owner.
