Almost there' I think, need advice on last bit of puzzle please!
Scenic Grand 2006 1.9 DCI
Hi all' had the dreaded electronic brake failure so stumped up for a brand unit, checked it was the correct unit (and it is) hooked it all up' the 'handbrake failure message dissapeared (good sign) and the red flashing light on the handbrake lever went out.
However one I start the car the handbrake won't apply or do anything, my understanding is that these do not need to be coded however I do have access to the renault clip, I checked the new unit and no faults stored?
The unit did show that it was 'factory mode' ?? And then I had 'electronic fault' on the dash.
I have checked all fuses, and every other part of the car is fine.
If I plug old brake box in, I get the brake fault and the diagnostic clip recognises its stuffed so clip is working ok.
So close to getting this working, can anyone help with the last bit
