Speedometer accuracy

Hi folks. Does anyone know how accurate the speedo is on the Laguna? The reason for the question, with cruise control set, the speedo is always reading higher (3 to 5 mph) than the setting on the cruise control. (same on speed limiter). With the local police now putting more speed traps around, I am assuming using cruise or limiter should keep me on the seting (below the limit).
