I see the problem like this;
people are walking whilst pushing a pram, or a wheelchair, and to make it easier for this task to be done, there are 2 (mutually-exclusive) choices, load the pram/wheelchair with batteries and a motor to provide extra assistance whilst pushing, or just to make a lighter pram/wheelchair.
Which method is the more efficient?
I know which I'd find easier, and prefer to push, when the batteries run dry, and all this smart hardware is rendered no more use than ballast.
This is not a new principle, they've been doing this with bicycles for years.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
