Are Kangoo's prone to cracked windscreens?

As per the title really, I've had mine 6 months, and the today have suffered the second cracked windscreen Both have been near the base of the screen following what sounded like a tiny little stone knock.

Now in previous cars, I've had what sounded like half house bricks hit and no damage, but there's not even a chip to fix, straight away its a 3 inch crack. Thing is I had an 02 plate one some years ago, (this is a 55) and that had to have a replacement too which makes me think it may be some kind of common issue.

As it's near the bottom, anyone know how to press it to steer the crack to the edge of the screen so I don't have to get another insurance replacement?
Currently in thew's garage:
2005 Nissan Kubistar SE dCi80 (I know, it's a Kangoo really!), 2006 Grande Punto Multijet, loadsa push bikes.
