Re: abs fault 2006 megane

Your mechanic isn't very good! Have you replaced the rear discs recently? The only thing it can be is the wiring from the computer to abs sensor connectors, there are only four wires and you don't need a wiring diagram really. Disconnect the sensor connector on one side and with a good multimeter and fine datum targets insert the target into one of the pins next disconnect the abs ecu connector and carefully insert a multimeter datum target into a pin. Not the big pins as these are feeds and earths or twisted wiring as these are can wired. Now set the meter to ohms and beep alert and check each small pins on the plug until it beeps. When it beeps check the value should be no more that 1 ohm. If no beep you may have open circuit on one wire or short. Check resistance to earth. Then on to the next ect. If no beep you need to look at wire colour and trace it back if no access to wiring diagram. Failing that check the active or passive pickup. May be damaged corroded or missing not creating a voltage ect. Can't believe he fit a pump!
