Question Bonnet insulation

Hi all, I'm new (joined today) and I bought my second Clio yesterday. It was first registered in May 2005 so I haven't a clue what mk it is but that's beside the point. When checking under the bonnet I felt that there was something missing and it took me a while to realise that there is no bonnet insulation. When I called the used car people I bought it from to ask about it (I never noticed on inspection the 1st time) I was told that they don't come with insulation any more. I have searched and searched the internet for answers but I can't find what I'm looking for so here I am. Does anyone know if Renault have stopped putting bonnet insulation on Clio's? Or am I being fed a line because I'm a woman? Many thanks.
