Re: Renault Laguna 2 - Water In Front Footwells*FIXED*

In recent days both our Laguna II's have ended up with soaking wet footwells. My wifes car actually had about 3mm of water above the carpet !.
So this weekend i decided to tackle this once and for all. Previously i had tried to clear the drain holes with some CAT5 data cable.

So, Get the wet vac out and dried out our cars, then went to B&Q and got 8ft of "Net Curtain wire".

Open sunfoof. In our cars, the roof drain area was still full of water.
The drain holes are in each front corner of the sunroof, about 5mm in diameter.
Slowly feed Net curtain wire down into drain hole.
In both our cars, and on both sides i noted that you can feed down about 6ft of cable and then it "appears" to hit a stop and the cable will not go anymore. However, push cable nice and hard and all of a sudden you will get water running all over the driveway.

Remove Net Curtain wire, and repeat on the other side.
Finally, gently poor some fresh water into the sunroof drain areas to wash the muck out of the pipes.

Job done !.
