Re: Twizy Charging Question - Fan over run.

Non Twizy owner..

I was wondering initially why would you need a fan ,to clear fumes or something .

I did a quick google.
Seems fan keeps battery cool when charging and after to get a better charge in and extend battery life.
Then theres things about battery temp sensor and OAT and the fan conrtnuing after charge until the battery temp drops below a certain level or gets within x degrees of the OAT.

Maybe the fan running time is dependent on what part of the country youre in/where you charge the car inside or outside/Winter or Summer.

To my electric car ignorance it sounds like its the opposite of a normal car.
Cold night hard on the petrol or especially diesel car battery, could be hard to start if the battery is on the way out.
Cold night : Happy electric car battery charging especially with a cooling wind and battery should get cold quicker than in a hot garage?

Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
