The mirror can (if it's intact) be re-attacted using a combination of Tiger Seal and Duct tape (the tape can then be removed once the adhesive sets).
The windscreen may pose the bigger issue. If it is in the driver's side, it will fail its next MOT (so best get saving-up now). As a temporary measure to get you until then, it can be sealed to prevent further splitting and water damage.

I know companies do trade in second-hand screens, so it may be worth making some enquiries as to price/availability.
