Thanks Paul, the mirror may be beyond repair as it's in pieces, but I'll tell him what you've suggested. For now, he's bought a boy racer unit that does the job, it just looks pants.
For the windscreen, that product on
is interesting and could work. He'd have to try and wangle to stone out of the glass first though and arrange for a sunny day so the UV rays can do their work. The results do look good on the youtube clip.
Second hand screens, not heard of that, so can you recommend any and do they fit them as well?
The other option is a repair by Autoglass at 'only' £72.50
Really annoying is because he's a young driver, he
is viewed as a risk, hence him being TPFT in the first place as it was cheaper. Neither of these two damages are his fault, but if he was fully comp and claimed for the mirror he'd have to pay a higher premium next year. Catch 22
