Re: Vibration and Resonance - Where from?

Hello, Me again,
I have finally decided now that I think that this issue is coming from the rear brakes/bearings. Had another check on the driveshafts and with some research it would seem that the amount of movement I was seeing is within tolerances and also as I wasn't feeling any vibration through the steering then this was unlikely.
The vibration can be felt through the seats and bodywork and some research I did said that if that is the case then it is most likely to be the rear discs. Interestingly after a big drive yesterday I noticed that when coming up to junctions and roundabouts etc. that the sound element would intensify when braking and as I had replaced the front discs and pads then it would stand to reason that the rears were the issue.

Would anybody agree or disagree?

So I have ordered the rear discs anyway as complete sets with the rear bearings and pads. Will let you know how that goes when they are changed. At this rate I will have replaced the whole driveline soon.

I did swap the the front and rear tyres also to see if that made any difference and nothing really. I got the old tyres rebalanced just to make sure. They are now on the rear with the brand new tyres on the front, prefer it this way anyway to be honest.

Anyway any thoughts on the discs would be welcome.
