Re: Easier to replace balljoint or whole arm on Scenic

I have replaced a whole arm and also just the ball joint. It is in deed much easier to replace the whole arm but also possible to replace just the ball joint. I accomplished this by supporting the appropriate side on an axle stand. Remove any parts in the way ex abs clip, steering arm, drop link and calliper. Or pull strutt to one side. Put an axle stand under the arm near the ball joint not under ball joint. Get a hammer and hit the ball joint out. Now that the joint is out. With the new joint remove the clip and rubber boot so that udont damage it, put the joint in the arm by hand and now put the axle stand under Neath the ball joint. With care and time tap the arm so that it is forced down over the joint. This can take 15 minutes. Once completed fit the new rubber boot back on the ball join and clip. Job done just need to put it all back together. Hope this helps
