Grand Scenic II Click/Clunk When Applying Brakes

Hi All,

I've got a 2007 Grand Scenic with a strange clicking noise coming from the OSF wheel area when applying the brakes.

The pads and discs were changed around 500 miles ago at a garage (not me).

I've jacked it up and moved the wheel around and can hear nothing like the noise.

The inner pad seems to move away from the disc by a clear 1-2mm when the brake is this normal?

It looks like everything was assembled correctly when it was put back together, however I'm not 100% convinced the spring is in the correct place, so I've attached a photo.

In this photo, the retaining (?) spring is not touching the back of the pad at all.

Anyone got any thoughts?
