Re: Megane 3 Estate rear lights rubbing on bodywork?

Hi there and welcome.

I presume the garage are presuming that you have somehow managed to trap some object between the light & tailgate in exactly the same position on both sides?

I can't imagine it sounds likely to anyone, nor to me.

In these days of tighter tolerances and shutlines, any misalignment will have a consequence, and unless you've removed the tailgate (paint on the nuts would prove not) - it's again something which could only have occured at the factory.

I would contact Renault Customer Services as I can see no reason why this wouldn't be a straight warranty repair to adjust the tailgate, paint the area eroded and replace the cracked light.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
