Re: Undertray Poll

I thin kthe basic way an engine works has not changed that much in many years but the other things have, in the 70's you would not have found an undertray but every car now has one so what has changed engine postion wise, not a lot!
but the engnie sound has this wil deaden the sound also we now have a lot more sensors so it hepls keep sump remp up a little but afterthat not a lot of use really I have driven many cars over 100s of thousands of miles with no undertrays to have not a single problem, just boils down to "lady Luck" really on waht you run over, I also think it is a manufacturer ploy to make the engine "look" more formidable, same goes for all the engine covers strip them all off and hey presto there is the same old engine just hidden well, my wifes meg 1 coupe has run around for 7 years now with out one, not a hint of a problem, I tihnk it is the luck of the draw just like stones hitting head lamps.
