Well, it is 'normal' in the sense that if a non-load bearing part of the car is used as a point to lift it, then it will be damaged.

Personally, I doubt if the structural integrity has been compromised, as its the parts of the car outside the wheels which act as a crumple zone, the chassis part acts as a safety cell and resists these external forces.

If it were me, I'd check that no pipes or cables were located in close proximity, and gently use a blunt weight (i.e. sledgehammer) to persuade it back into shape - keeping the carpet in place, to avoid damaging the paint on the floor.
