Re: Undertray Poll

I still think it is "luck of the draw" on belt damage, as said my wifes Meg1 from 6k to 82K now on country roads, which flood, have wind damaged trees so there are large twigs in the road some mornings over the last 12months building work has gone on so you get large trucks carry stone on these roads still no damage apart from stone chips on the bonnet, life is full of what ifs really for evey one like me you will find some one with a broken belt some where personally I am not phased by the fact she has not got one, My Meg2 cc has one and every oil change you end up shaking the stones out of it so they still get in my feeling on it it is more to do with sump temp and cat temp as you are enclosing the engine bay in its own little enviroment and also cuts down noise, the down side is as said by others it conceals leaks oil and water! if you have one, you have one; I would not go out of my way to buy one though, they can be a major hazard when left flapping under the car.
