If you test drive one,try and find a rough piece of road to drive along.Any knocks from the rear over bumps in the road usually means the bushes are worn.

and filter changes is essential,even better if they have had mid-point(9k)
changes.Listen for any excessive
whistle on a road test,and look for
leaks from the intercooler hoses etc.
I'd have a good read of the Lag 2 Knowledge Base threads before you go and look at one,then you should know what to look for....
Also,the later Lag 2 Phase 2's (2005 onwards I think) are far more reliable than earlier phase 1's.I would definately avoid Y-reg cars as they are the very first ones.
