Re: ABS Sensor repair ?
wires may have shorted and done some damage to abs control if your unlucky
you usually get away by soldering the wires
correct wire to wire i hope you have done.
if you do a search on google its a common fault on the x trail and owners usually repair them thierselves ofr if i mind right modify the mounting of a citroen xsara or something for a cheap replacement
most abs sensors work the same
Can't completely agree with this post as the ABS sensors are used for a lot of systems other than just the braking system.
So for this reason you need to understand that the wires have different functions, not just positive and negative. They send a pulse signal up and down the wires & these signals have different wavelengths so that the
can recognise function or non functioning, also your speedo takes a signal from these sensors which again is a different pattern etc so a broken worn wire is more difficult to repair also these wires are normally shielded which again is difficult to correctly repair
