Re: Who killed the electric car?

i have been using all different types of cells in r/c models some you can only slow charge some you can fast charge evan tried some car cells
the car cells are crap and more expensive
the li-po cells we use are good but have to cool down before you can recharge and are explosive on top of that
the A123 cells are great fly the model land cells hot or cold fast charge in 10-15mins and away you go again in fact there is a video of an electric motor bike using them but the downside is the charger you would need at home to fast charge would cost near the same as the car
the good part is if one cell breaks down you can just replace that one cell at a very small cost
i have used them for 100's + hrs and they are still working great
then there is the motor dont know if they still use brushed motors in cars but the way for power and more flying time for us are brushless motors
still makes me think why they still use old brushed motors in washing machines etc
