I've snooped around the usual suspects for 'budget' through to 'quality but sensibly priced' towbars - i.e.
Tow Trust Towbars

To be honest, they're all around the 120-130 mark, and (surprisingly) there's less than a fiver between the Towsure and Witter offerings. Under the circumstances, I'd be inclined to go for the Witter.

But then (when looking for an example of a silly price) I searched for Brink and found a site doing a Brink flange bar for the Lag 1 hatch for 105 quid including VAT. Or if you prefer, they do a non-detachable swan neck (a bit more elegant but not quite as versatile) at the same price.

Either is probably a good buy. Go for the flange if you want to be able to fit stabiliser brackets, bumper protectors, cycle carriers etc. but otherwise go for the swan neck (especially if you're going to tow a caravan with an Al-Ko stabiliser, as these don't like going onto a conventional flange towball, and you'll end up buying a replacement towball anyway.)
