Re: rear disc/pad change

It's a pretty straight forward job but you will need a few tools.

Make sure you get the discs with the bearings pre fitted and make sure they are the ABS version.

You will need a 7mm allen key (not a standard size)to remove the caliper slider pins, and a 30 or 32mm socket for the hub nut.

You will also need to wind back the caliper piston, most use a special tool for this but it is possible with a pair of pointy nose pliers.

Its just a case of removing the caliper from the carrier (7mm allen bolts) then remove the carrier 2 x 18mm bolts (I think) then remove the hub nut, this will be tight (280 Nm - 207 lbf ft.) so you will need a breaker bar on the socket, with the nut removed the disc / hub just pulls off.

Refit new disc / hub and torque the hub nut to the figure above. Clean up and refit caliper carrier, wind back caliper piston and fit new pads, refit caliper, cleaning parts as you go.
