Question Re: How to change front discs and pads(with pics)

Hi, An excellent feature.
Mine is a Megane 04 1600 Expression, though I realise most of this advice is applicable. Yes! Pads different
for my model.
1. What is the reason for having the keys in the
ignition - but NOT switched on?
2. I note no mention of NOT putting back the original bolts , in this current feature. My kit contains two new special bolts. It appears these are for the bottom positions!
3. Reason for replacing the pads is MOT failure.
However old pads look perfect, plenty of friction material in fact the back plate + friction material is 12 mm thick.
I note many book & Internet reports declaring even 6-7 mm thick is OK.
Interested in any comments.
