I would still say that the main problem is the seal. It is porous and insufficient in most cases. I stripped it all off, used brake cleaner (had some spare) but you can use white spirits. Clean it up well. I used a black gutter sealant but, you might want to put something more solid in its place, a black silicon bathroom sealant would work well and is not as messy. If water is getting as far as that screw, then it has gone through the outer seal.
In a reply to a good post on the procedure for repairing the sunroof, I initially recommended wearing gloves when dealing with the bolts near the back, because of the stitches I needed in the tendon in my left index finger however, I would actually recommend just taping that edge with duct tape, to protect yourself. It is a tedious job to get all those bolts undone and refastened. Worth spending the time to get it right though. Wife is happy that it no longer rattles too!
