Re: stuck track rod end

My two penny's worth :

I am reasonably sure i counted the number of threads fairly accurately and put them back into the same position, but when i took it to the garage they gave it a once over said id fitted everything right checked it was all tight etc... however i asked them about checking the tracking as it just didnt feel quite right.

They did and with the Lag II it should be 0 +/- 1/2mm mines was near 8mm, oops... so my advice would be if you do the track rod ends, do both then go get the tracking checked and adjusted for only 15 you can save your tyres a lot of hard. Apparently each thread count is about 2mm so an inaccuracy of 1/2 threads is quite a lot.

Thanks for the advice and help on the forum in regards to doing the job.
