Hi Lucy,

The TDC is very easy to replace and probably cost less than diagnostics. I got one off a accident damaged car and changed it in 10 minutes. Only 2 bolts and an electric clip to remove.

This did not cure my problem however and so I changed out the coil unit with one sourced as above. My coil unit was also very easy to change (with a set of star keys) Remove plug leads, remove 3 screws and an electrical connector. All easily accessed. Note though that there are a number of different coils and coil packs so you need to check the type you have. Mine is a block feeding all the plug leads (2000 V 1.4).
