Just looking for some advice. I want to fit parking sensors to my new Clio 111 . Do I need to remove the bumper and is a special tool needed for the bumper fixing screws? Do the sensors go in the black bits on the bumper ? I've looked in the handbook and they seem to have one in each black insert and two in the middle. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Completed fitting sensors no problem.Once tail lights off bumper inserts removed and able to see pre-cut holes to position sensors. Only thing was that space was tight and my good lady had to put hand in behind bumper.
Hi there,
I have a clio 3 and am also wanting to fit reversing sensors, can you tell me where you sourced yours from and how much? I also guess they operate from the reversing light power cable?

I ordered a set from these people for our Clio II. The beeper sounds a bit cheap and tinny, but it's plenty loud enough and does the job. Better still, the beeper mounts remotely from the control unit, so you can have the sound near the driver even though the electronics are in the boot. It's a shame Renault didn't have the sense to do this on their factory systems.

CISBO Parking Sensors for only £49.99 with 4 sensors, UK Delivery.

They were doing a half price offer at 25 quid for the basic 4 sensor kit at the time, which I thought was a steal. I've just checked and the offer has ended. They're 50 quid now, and you can probably find them cheaper elsewhere.

In fact, I think Maplin were doing a 4 sensor kit for about 30 quid last time I looked. Again, it may have been an offer, so the price might have gone back up.

Yeah . It was

Parking Sensors for only £49.99, UK Delivery. Quality reversing aids

here that I got them from for 25 quid . There are a couple of pics I took and sent them . As you can see I fiited one in each bumper insert as the bumper has cut outs for them. It shows the general area in the handbook.
I mounted the control unit and beeper behind the boot trim on the offside. There is an area next to the seat belt roller ideal for it.
I used a scotch lock connector to connect to the reversing light wire and there is a large earth mount next to the seatbelt roller.
There are a couple of drain holes at the rear of the boot behind the plastic trim( which was a b*****d to get off without damaging it) and this is where I took the wires into the boot. If you use a screw driver to prise anything out wrap a bit of cloth round it.
The plastic trim comes of by taking the bolts off that hold the cargo net loops , then prising out the plastic oblong bits on top of the trim. You then have to squeeze the part that the oblong bits came out of with a pair of pliers or similar and pull it straight up.
Sounds complicated but I reckon an hour .
The only difficulty I had was that my hands were too big to go behind the bumper through the hole made by removing the light units but my wife managed to get her hand in.
Remember to put masking tape on the bumper to stop the drill slipping and make a pilot hole with a small, sharp drill bit.
Halfords mixed a tin of spray paint ,Mercury, a coat of varnish ,and that was it.
Good luck !!

I have bought some parking sensors from Maplins and am waiting delivery. Perhaps you could help me in where I would find the correct wire for the reversing light on a Laguna11 Sports tourer. I have had a look at the connection behind the rear right hand side light cluster (as you look at it) and there are six connections. I am not sure which one is for the reversing light. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi DeeBees,

You know the holes are already drilled in the bumper for the Lag 11, they are behind the plastic trim on the top of the bumper, remove that and you will see them. Just a matter of lining up and drilling holes in the trim.

That's great, I didn't know that, you learn something everyday, thanks for that info. I would presume that there is access for the wires to go into the boot. I will have to look around the forum to see how to remove the plastic trim as I have not done it before.
