Talking Just getting into clio modding...

Hey guys i was just woundering if any one could offer some advice and tips in a couple of modding areas as im pretty new to this all.... i firstly would like to know what method or part i would need to buy for my overall car noise to sound better... i dont exactly want to spend alot new exhaust system but something cheap and worth its money to do the job.... I own a Clio ..Mk2...i was woundering what could i buy to make my exhaust sound better and louder.

I would also like to know the best way about getting a new interior... my current interior is rather hideous to say the least. I was woundeing how would i be able to put a leather interior or look into my car?... is there any possibility of getting scraps of leather interior from the breakers on Mk2's??

Welcome to the forum, you should be able to get a good interior from a breakers although you may need to do some leg work off course

Hi there is a car upholster up here in Scotland that does that kind of thing leather, tartan, all types of material so iam sure there will be someone doing it in your area and hes very well priced. If its just the sound thing from the exhaust your looking a would just change your Back box that will give you that extra noise any aftermarket exhaust motor sport shop will be able to advise you i hope this helps all the best Donald.

If you want a nicer sound go for a cat back system, this gives a nicer sound and ab it deeper but keeps it legal for MOT purposes.

Go with a 3" inward rolled back box, they look nice and sound even nicer without deafening your neighbours.

I wouldn't recommend powerflow despite the name they have for themselves. Theres much better places for example up here in newcastle we have a place called AAS and they do custom stainless steel exhaust and they fit alot better than poweflow ones do, the monkies there seem to let the ego's do the work! IMO.

The interiors you find in scrap yards won't be leather ones. They usualy take these right out and sell them on fleabay .. for quite a price too.

Quite often the leather seats (clio sport ones?) have had the side airbags detonated leaving tears in the seats. This woud cost more to fix than it's worth IMO.

Your best bet is to try a renault breakers linked from this site or fleabay! Depending on how much you want to spend.
