Renault Clio - Bodywork - Leaking sunroof

I wanted to get an update and see if anyone has managed to solve the leeking sunroof problem? A few members said they were going to strip the sunroof and seal it. Mine still leaks and I keep a towel wedged up in the roof lining. I did take out the rubber seal and it exposed a greyish spongy seal so I sealed that up with a sealant. But it hasn't done the trick :-(
This is driving me insane any suggestions would be much appreciated. I have looked at other threads but not much advice on how to stop this from happening!!!

What I suggest is put some vaseline in the rubbers of your sunroof.
vaseline is good to rubber, and avoid it vulcanized.

What I found with mine is that with it closed I could see a gap between the glass and the seal. On closer inspection it looked like the surround had dropped a bit so I applied some strategic vertical force (pushed it) to the surround and it seems a lot better.

Question Clio Leaking Sun roof.

Hi. I found that mine was leaking from where the sun roof frame fits onto the roof of the car . I sealed around it with a tube of black silicone sealant, This has stopped the water seaping onto the roof lining and dripping on the passenger seat.
