Ive got an old banger of a 96 1.2
Same problem as all of you with a leaky sunroof.
I took the sunroof out which isnt that big a job. Just pull the trim from the underside of the sunroof, this releases the head lining. then with a 10mm ratchet spanner you can release all the fixings. Its fiddly but doable.
the complete sunroof then lifts out after removing the crank handle.
The roof is like a biscuit tin once the sunroof is out so dont lean on it or it will bend.
The Renault seal looks like a rubber shoelace! no way that will stop the water. I dried it all up and used half a tube of clear silicone sealer then refitted the sunroof.
Lovely job, took 4 hours and it still pours in when it rains. !!!!!!!1
Given this was a 100 quid car I ran a bead of silicon around the top of the seal and closed the sun roof.
problem solved. Dry as a bone
I think the real answer is, reseal the sunroof to the car roof as above the buy a new glass seal.
So that just leaves a blocked heater matrix and an
leak and front brakes and and and
The joys of running a wreck
Happy motoring Dave
