Yep it's that time of year again - blocked scuttle drains after the end of Autumn leaf-fall.
If the garage took the wing off then either you or the garage are mistaken - no need for such drastic action.
The drains end up behind the plastic wheel arch liner behind each front wheel. Ideally you need to jack up the front of the car remove the front wheels - then lift the outer edges of the liner and have a look in - remove any crud and using a piece of curtain wire rod the drains upwards. Do 3 or 4 flushes to be certain.
It may also be possible to lift the front edge of the scuttle panel and using a stiff piece of wire poke into each corner.
