Re: Steering on full lock
The clicking sound is commonly due to wear in the CV joints of the driveshaft and usually becomes apparent when the steering is turned on full lock. When the wear becomes very excessive the clicking noise will also be hear when the steering is straight or on partial lock.
If the sound is only just occuring its possible the driveshaft joints will still be ok like this for many thousands of miles to come. My Vauxhall has done this for years and I've had no problems with steering or drive to the wheels.
If the wear is excessive you might experience vibration through the steering, increased play in the steering, uneven tyre wear, but anyway when you have your next MOT the tester would flag this up if there was serious wear. Hope this helps.
