Re: Renault - Clio - Starting Problems - A solution???

Hello Kin, and welcome.

The symptoms and the lights would suggest to me that the coil pack(s) are starting to fail, whereby a lack of a spark will result in the engine turning over - but not firing.

A diagnostic code reader should confirm this.

It's important to investigate this root cause, as any coil pack not giving the respective spark plug any voltage will result in a mis-fire, with unburnt fuel ending up combusting in the catalytic convertor - which is when the big bills start to arrive.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
