Hi Mor606,

I'm afraid Donald hasn't been on the forum for quite some time so its unlikely that he will see your post

The bolt itself will go back into the hub very easily. When you remove the old one count the number of threads visible on the inner track rod and screw the new one on to the same amount. This will give you a a reasonably accurate position so the tracking won't be too far out. It will also ensure that the track rod coupling goes back in easily.

It would be worth getting the tracking checked by a garage as soon as you can after that just to be safe.

When pushing the track rod bolt back into the hub make sure it is clean and free from grease or it may spin during tightening up. If it does start to turn apply a small amount of pressure under the track rod end to prevent this from happening.
Currently in planmeca's garage:
Renault Laguna 1.8 16v x 2 and a lot of other things. could really do with a tidy up to be honest I'll do it tomorrow
