Hi there, If you do remove the speedo console it would be advisable to keep it in an upright position as the dials are filled with silicon fluid which acts as a damping system, you will have to tilt it a bit to remove it but once It's out keep it upright. As hondo says it is fairly easy to do but you also have to remove the facia switch corner trim panel wich is the little thingy to the right of the speedo console where I normally keep my parking meter change.
