Child Mk1 is driving a 2001 clio.
Took some pics when he was messing with his roof.
In the pic, it looks like there is a seal on the glass (arrowed)
That seal sits against the other seal when closed giving the clean line you can see.
It will give a double seal which should be beneficial.

I remember that when he refit the sunroof, the glass wouldn't sit down on the frame seal.
He had refit the seal to the frame the opposite way round to it's origonal position.
Spinning it round sorted the problem.
The 2 seals must compress into each other and will take this shape over time.
